Tucked away on the eastern side of the Island, Edgartown is a phenomenal mix of historic charm and modern luxuries. Upon entering Main Street you’re greeted by the famous Daniel Fisher House with its rolling green lawn and The Old Whaling Church immediately next to it.
Saunter down the street and you’ll find boutique shops and bespoke restaurants with a heavy emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Established by whaling captains, Edgartown Village retains its historic architecture. Meander the side streets and you’ll find homes established in the early 1800s.
Be sure to stop in and check out the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, Edgartown campus or the Edgartown Lighthouse. A great rainy day activity is a visit to the Edgartown Fire Department Museum.
Take a two minute ferry over to Chappaquiddick and you will find MyToi Garden (pronounced my toy), Cape Pogue Light House, and some not so secret fishing spots.
Head over to Katama and play in the waves at South Beach. Have a 4 wheel drive vehicle? Get a day pass and enjoy driving on the beach at Norton Point.
